Research on the design and construction of molecular sieve catalytic materials and its catalytic properties

 On January 11, the academician Yu Jihong of Jilin University, invited by College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, gave an academic report entitled "Research on the design and construction of molecular sieve catalytic materials and its catalytic properties". The report was presided over by president Dong Jinxiang, and attended by Li Jinping, deputy secretary of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee. Teachers and graduate representatives from the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and the Key Laboratory of Coal Science and Technology listened to the report.

 In the report, academician Yu Jihong introduced the academic contributions of molecular sieves research from the following aspects, (Ⅰ) Establishment of molecular sieve structure design theory and method; (Ⅱ) Discovery of the mechanism that hydroxyl radicals can accelerate the hydrothermal crystallization of molecular sieves; (Ⅲ) Development the method of directional synthesis of molecular sieves; (Ⅳ)  Development of a series of high-efficiency molecular sieve catalysis and separation materials.


 Finally, academician Yu Jihong gave her message and outlook on the development of molecular sieves research. The teachers and students responded warmly to the report, and the report was successfully concluded in a heated discussion.
